Participation Fees

Countries that participate in both the exam and International Group Project

100,000 JPY / Country

• Unlike a regular IBO, there is no difference in the payment amount depending on the number of jury members.
• Payment instruction sheet will be sent to country coordinators via email, along with an invoice.
• All students who participate in the exam portion of IBO Challenge 2020 will automatically be enrolled into International Group Project. There will not be any fee discount even if a country doesn’t participate in International Group Project.

Countries that participate only in International Group Project

No participation fees required

• We will not charge any participation fees from countries that only participate in International Group Project. However, we will not issue participation certificates to students who only take part in the group project.

Participation Fee Exemption Program

If your country is experiencing financial difficulty due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we may be able to waive your participation fees.

Countries that would like to request the exemption must contact us at ibo2020@jsf.or.jp by July 20th, 2020 with a brief description of your NBO’s financial situation (maximum 1 page; PDF or Microsoft Word). Based on the submitted description, we may ask you to submit additional documents to further clarify your situation.
